Computer-Age Dentistry for Easier Treatment
Ever since dentistry entered the computer age nearly four decades ago, we’ve seen many technological advances that have dramatically improved our treatment techniques, materials and results. Computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) have expanded beyond aerospace engineering and manufacturing and are now used in dentistry to improve our diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
Here at Titan Dental, we use CAD-CAM technology to replace the “goop and gag” impression-taking we used to do when you needed a dental crown, dental bridge or denture. Dr. Le uses CAD-CAM to create a precise digital image of your teeth and gums. From that image, the computer creates your new tooth crown or dental bridge from high-quality material such as porcelain. You don’t need a temporary crown or bridge anymore. And you can have your new dental crown or dental bridge that same day.
